Little coloring books, easy-to-do craft kits, sticker books, are all good options. Stay away from multi-piece puzzles because it isn’t difficult to lose a piece and cause frustration. Activities with magnets are fun, as well. Activity kits are not only really good for the road trip, but you can take a pair with you wherever you are going exclusively for those moments when your youngster starts whining. Your kid will get hungry at the most awkward of times, when there isn’t any rest stop for miles away.

That is why you must pack a good mixture of nibbles in little zip-loc bags. If you child claims that he is hungry and it’s not meal time yet, hand him a bag. Do not let him see your stash because he’s going to want the rest of it. Keep the rest out of sight, and make it a mystery.

This may entertain your kid and provide him with some nourishment. Each child loves to hear music. Take along some fun children’s CDs. You can generally find a good selection at your neighborhood library. Your youngster will love to sing along to his fave songs, and he may learn a few along the way. Do not play the same CD over and over again, unless your child insists on it. Though, it will drive the adults mad, the price is worthwhile for a very contented kid.

Journeys are a great time for stories. Sit with your youngster at the back seat and read to him. To make story telling far more interesting, pack 1 or 2 puppets to act out the tale. Give your kid a puppet to perform a part with you. He is going to love the interactive play. As can clearly be seen, trips can be amusing for all.

You only need to use some creativity keep your child engages. Although your child is young, he’s going to remember and treasure these special journeys for the rest of his life.
